James ate (term used loosely) REAL food last night! We fed him rice cereal, the only semi-solid thing he's ever tried. It wasn't really what I'd call a success, considering the fact that pretty much none of it ended up in his belly (settling instead for his face/bib). But he didn't hate it. He was interested, just a little confused.

I read about that, too, Becca. You're supposed to touch the spoon to that dangley thing in the back of his throat and he'll swallow for sure ;-).

I got to feed James a couple days ago and he is good at the eating thing now. Derek held his arms down - apparently he wants to control the spoon. He knows how to open wide and lean in for it though.
