Merry (Belated) Christmas

Okay... so I know that the above picture shows nothing at all (seemingly) Christmas related, but this is James bright-eyed-and-bushy-bald on his very first Christmas morning (you'll have to take my word for it). At five months, he certainly doesn't understand Santa or any of that, but he must have sensed our excitement because... well... you see the face.

Needless to say, this Christmas was perhaps the best yet. Having a baby around sure takes the fun of holidays up a notch. James is such a wonderful little guy. He smiles and coos and laughs all the time. He occasionally gets over stimulated and then a bit anti-social, but for the most part he is very much my child... and hams it up. He even tolerated a drastic change in naptime/bedtime schedule, though I won't lie and tell you he was all smiles then. We were able to spend tons of time and make tons of fun memories with Derek's family. It was an absolute blast. Here are a few more pictures of our oh-so-wonderful Christmas vacation.

PS. Kudos to whoever can guess which gingerbread house is ours/mine. (No one with the last name of Anderson may participate.) *wink, wink.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wow. How adorable is James?! Love the smiley happy face! I agree with the funnest Christmas. Something about kids makes it so much more fun, even if they don't get what's happening. My guess on the gingerbread house? The outhouse. Afterall, that's my favorite kind of house. And I'm glad to see whoever did it, put Santa outside waiting his turn after me. He might want to grab some spray. . .Rock on!

Tori, you have to click on the picture to see the full (enormous) size...fyi. Look again, and let me know if it works.

And Aubrey, the smiley face of bows was Derek's idea. The present was for his mom. It worked its magic, too. She kept asking, "And who's this one for?" when we were opening gifts... like 5 times. :)

I love the picture of the three of you all dressed up! It looks so cute, and you look really fabulous. I also like the picture with Booger in it. :) I think your gingerbread house is the one with all the little circle candies (skittles?) around the edges. I actually have no idea.

Okay.... which gingerbread house was ours? The thatched-roofed cottage! There were prettier sides not pictured here, but MAN was the roof heavy! ;)

Why'd you put James in a pink jacket?

Who's is that other, very very cool gingerbread house? The one with the toilet?

What a cute Christmas family you all are. I saw the one with the tombstone in it and thought it could be Derek's work, but then I thought from what I know of John it might be theirs. Anyway, I love your cute little Christmas baby and take a look at our blog also! Sorry beforehand if we never post. Get over it and enjoy what's there I guess!
