Last night Ashley, James and I were "hanging out" while the men in our lives were at work. We had just finished eating dinner (Hooray for roasted broccoli! Seriously... Try it. You'll love it.), and Ash and I were talking in the doorway. Ashley was mid-sentence, and I interrupted her (sorry, Ash) to say, "James is crawling. Like REALLY crawling!" And he was. He all of the sudden understood that if he put his knees up under him, he could crawl with much greater speed than the shoulder-arm-shoulder-arm method he had been using. It was absolutely sudden... no sort-of or sometimes crawling. At around 7:30pm last night, he just did it.
We called "Daddy" at work to tell him the news, but then we decided that telling wasn't as cool as SHOWING. We packed up and headed out to Macey's. I sat James on the dirty, cold tile, bribed him with the cheep-cheep Grandma Julie had given him for Easter... and BOOM! He crawled for Daddy. Passers-by thought we were a little nuts, but who cares? I didn't want Derek to miss the awesome new milestone.
Here is a video of James crawling that Ash and I took as evidence of the pride-and-joy moment. Seriously, I am beaming even now. It's sad and pathetic... but DANG my kid is talented!
Enjoy.

Can he only crawl in the red shirt?
That is adorable! How exciting.
Bart, they are two DIFFERENT red shirts (he only owns two). And maybe red motivates him... you know, like it does bulls. ;)
YAY FOR HIS LEFT ARM WORKING! I was starting to get somewhat worried.
Kidding.
Bravo. Good luck chasing this kid down!
HORRAY! Now he and Jace can race! Although with his tummy up you can no longer throw a wet t-shirt on him to mop the floor! Absolutely adorable!!!!!
How cute!! Yay for crawling! Happy chasing :)
