This afternoon, James and I {along with our great friends Li, Evan and Asher} went to Richmond to drop off our bows and flowers here:
It took WAY longer to get them set up than I had anticipated. By the time we were done, we all felt like this:
Luckily, we were just in time for a PARADE! {Note: Pretty much every little town around here has its own celebration, along with a parade- more often than not. It's a bit extreme and/or egocentric, I know, but it's actually one of the things I love about this place. Bring on the parties!}

The boys were a blast! I have recently been very fond of the fact that I am a mother of a BOY, and today was definitely a highlight in that regard. No girl is as enthusiastic and adorable about cars, bikes, firetrucks, drums, and policecars as these boys were. It was awesome. I very thoroughly enjoyed myself!

James was really funny about his candy. He gathered it up and organized it all in a little line along the truck's edge. He cracks me up sometimes.
So handsome.

Asher apparently thought the sirens at the end were too loud. :) Cute boy.

REMOVE the wrapper first?? Whaa???
On the way home... a little bit sunburned and a lot bit tired.
It was an eventful afternoon. Hooray for friends and a parade to make it a fun one, too!

Hooray for you! Yay for all your hard work. I'm glad you had a fun day. I hope you have a good week. Love you much!
We had so much fun! :) The boys totally got a kick out of the parade. I'm glad we were there for it!
Black and White Days! The bishop in my ward is from Lewiston, and we were just talking about Black and White Days last Sunday in Ward Council meeting. Here in Eagle River we have Bear Paw Festival, but it is essentially the same thing: parties and parades. I guess you gotta celebrate what you got whether it's cows or bears, or whatever.
I LOVE the one of James with the candy. If only we could all be so excited by such little things!
aww...james is so cute! and mommy actually let him have candy! wow!! =)
Blast. Wish I would've been there if you were. Blast. We need better communication. ha ha! Or any.
You should have a sibling for James.
End of comment.
Yea for my hometown! Glad you had fun. James looks adorable and I think it is cute he lined up the candy on the truck. And smart idea with the truck! Keeps toddlers in check!
James organized his candy? Sounds like he's my nephew for sure.
Also, although I generally think people are making it up when they say that kids look like dad/mom/etc, when I saw that close-up of James (where he's gazing of at something in the distance), it struck me that he looks like Derek. And I like his faux-hawk.
Sounds like lots of fun. Congratulations on the business stuff. Looks like you are really enjoying yourself.
I agree Bec that I need to be over at your house. Teddy is now CRAWLING!!! I am glad he is getting bigger but now I can't just leave him on the floor I have to make sure he has something to entertain himself so he won't crawl and get into things that he is not supposed to.
James is adorable. I can't believe that he organized his candy. That is such an Anderson thing to do. I can Zann teaching Teddy to do that. Call me sometime. I miss you.
