When Derek and I were dating and newly married, we liked to go to Bear Lake every summer- at least once. Since we've had James, we've not really done so well at it. This year, though, we went. And it was wonderful.
We went with Kurt and Bonnie (LOVE them!) and met up with Bonnie's brother, Marcus, as well as the family's fun "toys." We all had a blast during this blissful day in the sun. It was one of the best family vacations we've yet taken! Here are a few (and/or a BAZILLION) fun pics to prove it.
PS. A few cute James-isms related to this trip:
1. In the 2nd picture, James was hiding in a kitchen cabinet in the suite/resort we stayed at. He had only recently started making sentences, and this was among his first... "I hiding!" :) We were very proud. And he was having a blast.
2. Also, James called the jetski a "meeu-cycle boat" (motorcycle boat). Pretty good name for it, really. :) Ah... what a fun, fun, trip.

Looks like you had so much fun- and Bec you look amazing in these pics!!! I love the one with your family in the canoe! And good job having Kurt and Bonnie go with you so you have use of the toys- Smart!
Mindy- the tractor in the water is the reason Marcus is officially the bomb, according to James. James thought it was pretty sweet. And it's in there because he works for this business that pulls your boats out into the lake, etc. Make sense?
And Britt- we didn't bring Kurt/Bonnie SO THAT we could use their toys. It was a perk. :) (One that I was nervous about actually... but loved a ton.)
And Katie- I love you for missing James. muah!

wow. loving that tractor in the water. was the water freezing? I enjoy urine temperatures. . . you do look fab in your swimsuit. . . just you wait, one day you'll look like me. . .

Very FUN!!! We went to Bear Lake over the weekend, but no fun toys like that. It's so fun to see and hear all the excitement in kids!!! He is a cutie! And.... so are you!!!

Looks like such a FUN trip! But I have to admit I hate you a little bit for looking so awesome in a swim suit. (you know I love ya! but seriously girl!)
