This weekend was fun. It was lounging around on soft couches. It was pajamas and yummy food. It was family. It was cozy. It was Conference.
For those of you who don't know, the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka: the Mormon church, of which Derek and I are members... James an intern) holds a General Conference twice a year. In said conferences, the Prophet and other church leaders speak to the members, offering encouragement, guidance and inspiration. [For more information, go to http://www.mormon.org/ or http://www.lds.org/] This weekend was exactly that, and I loved it. The talks were great, but more importantly -- the Spirit that entered our home as a result was wonderful, refreshing. Although actually going to church is nice, there's just something fun about watching church on tv... in your pjs.
My mother-in-law watched Saturday morning conference with me, since Derek had ditched us to go to a ROCK CONCERT (yeah, he's a sinner). Then the afternoon session, we watched at her house with the rest of the Anderson clan. Sunday we stayed home all day, just the three of us... the Anderson Trio.

Ok- so I loved the intern comment. James is so adorable! Tell Derek he's officially grounded until he takes some pics of YOU! Love ya!
We had those couches when Syd was born, so we have a picture almost identical. Just with me and Syd instead of D and James. I'm sure our picture is much better though. :-)
Ummm... Cute baby. Where are the pictures of the cute Mommy?
What rock concert is on a Saturday morning?
Who did Derek go to the BASH with, if not you? I wanted to go to that but I was in Canada.
To answer a couple of your questions:
1. The great and spacious building rocked all day long, not just all morning.
2. Derek had a man-day of sorts, chosing Micah in lieu of me. Acutally, Micah chose him (got him a ticket for his birthday, not then realizing that it was on the same day as Conference).
