Help! I've lost my baby!

Somehow in the fairly-recent months, I have lost my baby. I'm not sure where he's gone, but I miss him sometimes. Not that I have tons of time to sit and ponder over the loss... You see, we have also recently gained an active, articulate, adorable BOY. He keeps me pretty busy, to say the least. ;) Here are a few pictures of this "new" addition to our family... up to mischief, as usual.

James has learned to feed himself using a spoon. We use the term "feed" loosely. He does more of a FunDip method and gets maybe half of the stuff into his mouth. He love it, though, and it leaves our hands free to feed ourselves. Needless to say, it gets pretty messy!
I'm not sure if you can see, but he swiped his hair with it, too. Mmm... applesauce hair.
What? You CAN'T see it? Here's an up-close. He gets a lot of baths. :)
"What, Mom? Climbing onto the desk is not allowed??? I had no idea!" ("Monkey" may be a more accurate term than "boy.")
Here's another feeding photo. This time it's blueberry yogurt. Maybe it tastes better when used as body paint...
And here are a few pics of James wearing a HAT. One of his first words was "at" (hat), probably because Derek has a bazillion and is more-often-than-not wearing one. Either way, this particular hat was one of mine. It has served more of a decorative purpose over the past several years (okay, most of its lifetime), but James somehow spotted it and desperately wanted it the other day. When I finally gave it to him, he was in HEAVEN! He was totally hamming it up, posing, really... Dress-Up is not just a game for girls, it seems. It was indescribably cute. Here are a few... for the ladies...

So if you find my baby, please let me know. Until then, I'll be having a blast (a sometimes-exhausting blast) with my new little boy!

I think I saw your baby on the side of the road. He was holding a sign that said nothing. Apparently he can't write yet??? No wonder you replaced him. Good call.

Mmm. Fun dip. It's not a bad way to go -- in fact, that's still the way that I eat pudding. Mmm, pudding.

Hey, that's a pretty sweet flat screen computer I saw in the background.

Oh, yeah, and James is pretty SWEET too.

When I first read your title and first line I just about had a heart attack! I thought you meant you had a miscarriage or something! But glad to know nothing like that. But I know what you mean, it seems like in one day they go from baby to little toddler boy. And James really is so cute, he is getting so big! He really does look like a little boy.

He is really cute. It does get sad when you realize you have lost your baby. You can use my solution and just have another baby. I have determined thought that that won't be my solution next time. I will just enjoy two big girls for a while.

Those are so freaking cute. You have one of the cutest kids I've ever seen, and you have to know that coming from me, that says a lot. :)

I have a little boy you can have. OK only at 3-5 in the morning. It's amazing how fast they grow. I didn't ever put it together how fast they actually grow until you have one. It's so fun being a mom. We miss you. Hope all is going well.

Gabe says he likes the cowboy hat James is wearing. He says you need a rope and a gun and a hat to be a cowboy. And cowboy boots. And that's it. It looks like James is on his way to cowboyhood.
