Here are a few random pictures (and one video) that I wanted to share... just because. They wrap up our week pretty well. They give a pretty accurate portrayal of the lives we lead... though I swear we're better parents than this.
Take a look.
1. James DOES use his wooden play food for more than just loud, obnoxious balls. Here he is (note Rachael Ray in the background) "cooking" ... in his very own pan and everything!
2. He's quite the chef. We (himself included) are quite proud!
3. This is a picture taken at James' expense (apparently) of his new shirt from "Papa" and "Potty." He wasn't having the best night, but I placed photography before parenting and took the pic anyway.
4. Here he is again... teary-eyed and heart-breaking. He's showing you the reason for the tears. He is pointing to the computer and saying "baby" and "neena." He wants to webcam with Aunt Dena. Because I DO love my son and value his happiness, we did get online and check to see if "neena" was on... but she wasn't. So we just went to bed.
5. Here's more evidence of our bad parenting. This time it's Derek to blame, however. James was in the livingroom, and we heard a muffled "suck" (stuck). Derek went in, saw a pile of coats, soon saw a little face pop up in the midst, then laughed and went for the camera. James wasn't even crying or anything... just wanting us to know he was "suck." But still... we retrieved a picture before we retrieved our son. Poor guy.
6. And last, here is a video of James in the bath tonight. He was being especially cute, and I wanted to film him so we'd remember. *Warning, there is a bum shot, but no full frontals. I hope he doesn't hate us someday for posting this on the web!

Hooray for bathtime! I'm sure he will love that when he's about 13.
Do you always film James taking a bath, or was it a special occasion? Who else do you film? I'm glad I didn't share a room with you guys in Oceanside. I don't think people would appreciate my backside quite the same as they do James'.
so i guess james only hates bath time when he's on vacation...cute. i love the "suck" picture...poor kid. :o)

I feel like the world's worst aunt...why did I choose to have FHE on Monday night instead of chatting and webcamming with you and my adorable nephew?! 3. LOVE the last picture. But really, did he knock it over?! Are you sure you don't have enough coats on that coatrack?! 4. Reuben and Jace loved the bath video. Here are their comments: Reuben "Mommy, James is coughing. I LOVE you picture on the top. Hot mamma and cute babe! I am laughing right now at the thought of you snatching your camera to take a pic of your little guy stuck under a coat rack before pulling the poor thing out. That is true bloggin mentality!!!

Bec! It's been so long! I have been pretty horrible at checking updates on people's blogs lately... but holy cow look at how much James has grown! He's such a stud! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE your little blog header. Cutest picture ever award goes to none other than YOU!

Seriously I cannot believe how big James is he is such a little boy! So cute and I love all your pics and I do not think you bad parents! You just can't miss those moments, I always get after myself if I forget to take a picture of a cute moment like that.
I've never actually met Dena, but I like her thinking... Since I was the first aunt to comment, does that mean I'm the best? If not, a second comment has to be worth something...
There is no convincing that baby to get out the tub. Katie always feels the same way ... j/k -- she hates baths. Something about sitting around in your own filth.
