SO Proud!

James loves stuffed animals. He snuggles them, gives them kisses, pretends to feed them, and really is quite adorable with them. They're his friends. His siblings- for now. He especially loves this particular bear. It's one that Derek actually gave me for Valentine's Day one year when we were dating. It has been confiscated, however, and is no longer mine.

James loves "beeeew." He's been really cute with it lately, using it in a "my friend wants to know" sort of way. ie.... James has been sick, and therefore really clingy. The other day, we were watching TV (a sickness side effect) and James came up and said, "mankie? beeew?" {Bear wants a blankie... not a question, really, but he says everything like it is.} then "binkie? beeew?" {You got that, right?} and "beeew, book?" HE wanted his blankie, binkie and to read a book... but he blamed it on the bear. It was really cute.

Anyway, a couple of days ago James and I were playing in his room, and he grabbed a diaper and said, "beeew, pie-doo?" {He's a little bit dyslexic with his syllables; too cute.} He then proceeded to put the diaper on the bear. He was unsuccessful, so I helped him out. And once bear had a diaper, he needed a "shoot." Once bear was dressed, we took a "pee-choo," and James was just so proud!

Yesterday, James had another proud moment. Perhaps the biggest yet. Derek and I were putting dinner on the table while James played in the living room. All of the sudden, he starts giggling with excitement, comes in to us and points into the living room. We follow him in, and what do we see? A stack of blocks... a tower, 8 blocks high. He was BEAMING with pride! It was the cutest thing ever. He was so, so proud of himself.

I am in love. :)

Hilarious! He is so adorable. I love the block tower and the bear. And I remember that bear. In case you were wondering, the bear you gave my for my birthday 4 years ago has also been confiscated by a little munchkin, though it's never been diapered. :)
